What Is The Reason Why Wallpaper Is Easy To Crack in Summer

This phenomenon mainly occurs in dry regions, especially in the northern inland areas.
The reason why the wallpaper is easy to produce tiny cracks in summer is mainly caused by the rapid shrinkage of wallpaper due to the hot and dry weather in summer and the rapid evaporation of water in the glue solution.
After the glutinous rice glue is adjusted, the glue solution contains a lot of water. When the glue solution is attached to the back of the wallpaper, the wallpaper base will absorb the water in the glue solution and cause slight expansion. When the glue solution is not completely dry, the viscosity of the glue solution does not reach the peak value. When the moisture absorbed by the wallpaper is evaporated, the wallpaper will dry and shrink, resulting in a slight gap within 24 hours after the wallpaper is pasted. Especially for wallpapers with water absorption expansion rate of more than 0.6% (53cm wallpapers with water absorption expansion rate of more than 3mm), the greater the possibility of cracks.
Methods to avoid:
1. Use glutinous rice glue with good water locking property.
2. During construction, thick glue is applied thinly to reduce the water content in the glue solution and improve the viscosity value of the glue solution.
3. After the construction of pure paper is completed, spray water or wipe water on the surface to slow down the drying rate of moisture in the wallpaper.
