Why Does The Wall Covering Appear To Collect Light?
Aug 08, 2020
Some people will see a reflective streak from the side after the wall covering is constructed. What is causing this?
This phenomenon is called "light gathering phenomenon" in the wall covering construction circle, and it usually appears on embroidered wall coverings and plain wall coverings.
1. Reasons for the phenomenon of light collection on wall cloth
There are generally two reasons for the phenomenon of light collection on wall coverings, one is the reason that the wall covering manufacturer leaves the factory, and the other is the construction problem.
01 Reasons for leaving factory
If the light collection phenomenon is relatively regular, most of it is caused by the factory. In the process of weaving the wall covering, a presser board with rows of pinholes is used, and sometimes it jumps off without being pressed, and the thread is pulled into the wall covering, causing the warp and weft of the wall covering to change. The precision of the warp and weft of the wall covering is not high, and it is easy to produce. Generally, plain-colored wall coverings are prone to light collection problems.
The phenomenon of light collection appears on the embroidery wall cloth. The main reason is that when embroidering on the tight fabric frame, the embroidery thread shuttles at a high speed on the fabric surface, which creates a tight situation between the embroidery point and the frame. The warp and weft threads are becoming tighter, so that the warp and weft threads are tightened to form a "light collection phenomenon". If they are stretched excessively during compounding, this phenomenon will be more obvious, especially at the position of the embroidery tip.
02 Reasons for construction
If there is uneven light collection, one here and one another, with different lengths, it is basically caused by construction problems. Excessive pulling during construction positioning, too much force with scraper, and wrong direction of scraping may cause deformation of the wall covering, thus forming a phenomenon of light collection. This situation can be avoided by correct construction methods.
2. How to avoid the phenomenon of light collection and how to solve it?
Can the light collection phenomenon be avoided? It depends on the length of the light collection and the length of the skipped stitches.
01Check before paving
Before laying the wall covering, check the wall covering. Open the wall covering. If you look at the position of the burrs, you can see that the wall covering is inconsistent with needle holes, or there is a jump phenomenon, then light collection is likely to occur. Some skipped stitches are longer and the wall is tightly braced, and there will definitely be a light collection problem after pasting, so you need to communicate with the manufacturer and return to the factory; while some skipped stitches are short and the light collection phenomenon is not long, you can cut it off After skipping stitches, pave the upper and lower wall coverings.
The wall covering that has been pasted appears to be light-collecting. Generally, it can only be re-teared and replaced with wall covering that does not have light-collecting problems and re-applied.
02 Attention during construction
Some plain wall coverings have low precision and are easily deformed when pulled, which will cause obvious light collection. This type of wall covering can also be checked before paving, and the feel is obviously different. During construction, scrape the wall covering after conforming, and it needs to be scraped horizontally from the middle to both sides. Do not scrape down all the time. The construction intensity should also be controlled. Do not push the glue and scraper brush too hard when scraping, otherwise it will be easy. Pull deformation to the wall covering
Have you ever had the phenomenon of light collection when paving the wall covering? The causes and avoiding methods of the wall cloth light collection phenomenon introduced in this issue are hoped to help the friends who are troubled by the light collection phenomenon~
